Denomination's Future Under Discussion 
In the aftermath of the General Conference Special Session, discussions about the future of The United Methodist Church are quietly occurring among leaders. Bishop John Schol attended meetings in both Dallas and Atlanta. "Think about what would happen if we became a denomination that the people of world said, 'This is a church that has the world’s best interest at heart,'" stated Schol. Click here to read the story.

Honoring Drew Dyson 
Raritan Valley District Superintendent Rev. Dr. Drew Dyson is transitioning to his new position as as the Executive Director of Princeton Senior Resource Center. A service honoring his ministry with GNJ will be held on April 14 at 4:00 p.m. at Bridgewater UMC. No clergy procession, reception to follow. All are invited.

The GNJ Board of Church & Society believes that vital congregations are deeply rooted in mercy and justice ministries. Applications for the Peace with Justice Grant program may be submitted by any group related to GNJ - a local church; GNJ agency, district or by two or more such groups in cooperation. CF&A is proposing to reduce shared ministry to 15.2% for 2020.  You can review your 2020 calculation here

Renters Insurance for Pastors
Church insurance only protects the parsonage and its church-owned contents. A pastor residing in a church owned parsonage must purchase renters insurance to cover their personal liability and property/contents. Click here to learn more.
