It's RRSP season. We know that many of you are currently debating whether to set aside money for retirement, and if so, how much. Before making any decisions, make sure you understand the various aspects of saving for retirement.

It’s never too early — or too late — to start saving for retirement.  

There are many options to help you save. Registered Retirement Savings Accounts (RRSPs) and Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs) can offer certain tax advantages, among other benefits. If your workplace offers a pension or savings plan, consider if it fits your financial goals. Some employers offer incentives such as matching some or all of your contributions. New Commissioners

The Ontario Securities Commission recently welcomed Lawrence Haber, Poonam Puri and Cecilia Williams as new commissioners who will serve two-year terms. Read more about the appointments and a brief biography of each Commissioner here.

The Commission has two related but independent roles. It serves as the Board of Directors of the OSC and performs a regulatory function, which includes making rules and policies and adjudicating administrative proceedings. Learn more
