Checking the registration of your investment firm or adviser is an important step to take to avoid becoming a victim of investment fraud. Always check before you invest by visiting AreTheyRegistered.ca, Canada’s national registration search website.

AreTheyRegistered.ca is an initiative of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), the umbrella organization of Canada’s provincial and territorial securities regulators, including the Ontario Securities Commission. The CSA recently refreshed its registration search tool to make it easier to find an investment firm or adviser's current registration status and learn more about the kinds of products and services that they are allowed to offer.
