COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS

MUSSELBURGH We're working with the Musselburgh Health & Well Being Group to make communities better places for people with dementia and carers. In February, an enthusiastic stakeholder meeting gave overwhelming  support to start planning a Meeting Centre. You can read a blog about the workshop HERE.

We meet again on 24th March with Dr Shirley Evans from the UK Meeting Centres Support Programme and Graham Galloway from Kirrie Connections. Read more here:  If you're interested, get in touch.

DUNBAR-  People tell us there's a need for a Meeting Centre and Dunbar Grammar School sees big benefits for pupils of making it inter-generational. We'll be discussing next steps with the Dunbar Health & Well Being Group.

FA'SIDE - We're joining up with other groups at the Fraser Centre so you get the best choices and support. We're talking with the Fa'side Health and Well Being Group about becoming a Dementia Friendly Community, including primary care, day centres, schools and the wider community.

NORTH BERWICK COASTAL - local carers, people with dementia and care at home providers met with the Health and Well Being Group to talk about how communities support people living with dementia. Watch this space!

COCKENZIE, POST SETON & GOSFORD & HADDINGTON - We're getting to meetings when we can! Plans are afoot...
