Our Response to COVID-19

Dear valued members, families, and friends,

The health and safety of our community is always our highest priority, and because of that I, and the board of directors of Voices of Hope for Aphasia, have come to an important decision.

We will be canceling all in-person, group activities and outings until Monday, April 6th.

This means:
  • NO weekly programs in St. Pete or Dunedin on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • NO Max Adventures to Narrows Nature Preserve on March 20th
  • NO "I have aphasia - Now what?" workshop on April 2nd &3rd
Please check the calendar on our website for the latest updates.

--> We are still here for you!  Brooke, Lauren, Mia, and I will be planning online sessions using Zoom video conference during the next two weeks.  We will send a schedule of those sessions in the next day or so.

“Dudes with Aphasia” WILL continue, as planned, on March 29th.  We will send call-in details as we get closer to the date.

I will be providing updates every Friday, and whenever changes occur, so you are kept up-to-date.

During the week of March 30th, we will re-evaluate the situation and determine if we need to extend our period of precautions.

We are taking these measures to try to contain and slow the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible. We are closely following the recommendations from the CDC and WHO.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call, email, or FaceTime/Zoom me at any time.

Please also check our Facebook page for updates throughout the course of the week.

Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe,

Debbie Yones
