Acting for Sitcoms at ACS

LA's BEST TV Comedy Training!

Actors are cast from a digitally recorded audition by casting or a self-tape submission these days. Callbacks are rare and first impressions count! Actors don't meet writers and producers as often as they used to. TV streams over the internet. It's digital and the whole process moves like lightening.

Working actors have little time to prepare and get cast based on their recorded performance, which is watched by writers and producers on a screen.

Our Acting for Sitcoms classes cover script analysis, cold reading skills, audition technique, character development and mastering on-camera work!

Ask yourself if stage training makes as much sense in the fast paced, digital age of instant casting as it used to.

We want actors to get the training they need at a price they can afford.

Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher recently published his first book, The Funniest Scenes in the World, Volume 1 Original TV scenes for actors to practice, workshop, and shoot reel footage!

Gunnar is also a Contributing Backstage Expert and guest instructor at SAG-AFTRA, SAG Conservatory and Groundling's.

Lauren Bertoni works regularly on sets coaching young actors for ABC/Disney and Nickelodeon.

Our reviews are the best in town; more than 100 FIVE STAR reviews on Google!

Our students are booking.

"Gunnar will reach into your soul and pull out your power; he'll find the greatness that you see in your mind's eye and manifest it into this physical realm."
"The training offered at ACS is super well rounded - you touch on scene study & script analysis as well as on-camera & audition technique in a way that makes you very competitive in the market. It was a natural transition from a purely improv-based education."

"ACS students are developing into a powerful force to be reckoned with."

"Gunnar and Lauren will teach you how to kill auditions. He's been in the industry and knows what he is talking about. When I first took a break from class, and decided to take an Alan Hooper workshop, I realized Gunnar was right on. Alan gave me the exact same notes that Gunnar had talked to me about in class. If you think you don't need it, just try it, you will be surprised by what you learn."
