GAD Pod wins 2019 Victorian
Resilient Australia Community Award!
The Resilient Australia Awards (RAA) for Victoria were held as part of this year’s Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience conference in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

These Awards celebrate initiatives that build community resilience to disasters and emergencies, recognising collaboration and innovative thinking across all sectors.

Such a great night  for the GAD Pod, as we won the Resilient Australia Community Award!
A big thanks to others in the team who couldn’t be there, and to Judy Jeffrey, Helen GoodmanJenny Indian and our Advisory Group. Always a team effort!

Planning for spontaneous volunteers awarded!

Staying with the theme of awards, our congratulations to long-time GAD Pod advocate and Advisory Group member, Amanda Lamont who, with Blythe McLennan,  received an Outstanding Achievement in Research Utilsation award at the AFAC Conference this week. Diversity and Change

We join with everyone who knows, or has heard about, the amazing Donna Wheatley, in celebrating her award for exceptional public service leadership.
