Cyber Security on the Move
More and more people are accessing the Internet on their laptops, tablets and smartphones and this opens the window to security threats targeting people on the go.
University of Waikato's Cyber Security Lab Research Fellow  Dr Sivadon (Boom) Chaisiri discusses the future of mobile cyber security.

In this article he introduces a mobile security solution based on context-aware computing for refining a security policy to adapt to the world-wide-wild cyber space.

Fighting cybercrime

CROW alumnus Shaun Stricot-Tarboton put his Master's research to work on cybercrime on a global scale.
Working closely with INTERPOL digital crime officers and cyber security researchers
, Shaun developed a system of identifying cyber-attacks, which law enforcement could then use when investigating cybercrimes.
Currently working within Deloitte New Zealand's Cyber, Privacy and Resilience practice, Shaun will graduate with a Masters of Cyber Security at the end of the year.

He recently presented at the A-ranked conference IEEE International Symposium on Trusted Computing and Communication in Tianjin, China.
