Countdown to the Challenge is on...

Preparations for the 2017 Cyber Security Challenge are in full swing with registrations open to talented young cyber sleuths - from the skilled to the novice. Designed to simulate computer-generated hackers, contestants will be engaged in a two-day virtual cyber-crime solving competition.  Engineered by some of Australasia's leading cyber security experts, the Challenge provides a link into the world of cyber security professionals -  the fastest growing IT profession in the world. Take the Challenge and find out if this is the career for you.

Challenge talk with Jeremy

Jeremy Symon (right in picture) is also a keen Cyber Security Challenge competitor.  His team, pictured receiving their prize, were one of the top three teams in 2016. He is hoping to put the same team together this year.

Interns Tackle Ransomware

Two new interns join the CROW lab from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore to collaborate in a project combating cybercriminals using malicious software to hold people's computer files for ransom.
They are studying the behaviour of the CryptoLocker family of ransomware, with a focus on the "Locky" ransomware as it widely affects NZ and Australia.
