Week Three: The Path to Peace

We continue studying John's Gospel as we look at Jesus' teachings to his disciples in chapters 13 through 17. Discover the Genius of Jesus, and hear his guidance for your life as a Christian.

Psalm for the Day: Psalm 23
Scripture for the Week: John 14:15-27, 16:5-15

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people; Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Flower Sales
Flower sales will be held April 29, 30, and May 1. We will be open from 8am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday, from 10:30am - 2pm. Help is needed, please see Kathy Hessel to sign up.

Ebenezer Church will have a float in parade, please be ready to ride or walk.

September 18th - 175th Anniversary Celebration
You will not want to miss any of these exciting events! More details to come.

Quilt Blocks
Remember, all quilt blocks need to be in now. Please let Phyllis Fisher know if you are having trouble getting them in. The quilters are beginning to put this together!

Fellowship Hall Almost Paid Off!
Thank you to all those who have supported the building of our Fellowship Hall. Our goal is to have it paid off by our 175th Anniversary Celebration this September. We only have around $5000 left to raise to pay off the loan. If you would like to designate a gift towards the Fellowship Hall fund, please be sure to specify that by writing "Fellowship Hall" in the memo of your check, or on your offering envelope. Keep up the great work!

MWSU Food Drive
The MWSU Campus has a food pantry to help students in need be able to eat. Many times just paying tuition and rent uses up most of their income. There are times when the cafeteria is not open and a student cannot afford to eat out. Your donation of any of the following items will support students in their education and help the graduate with less debt: canned meats (tuna and salmon), crackers, peanut butter, canned ravioli, tuna helper, evaporated milk, canned fruit, pre-made jello/pudding/etc., cereal/oatmeal, pasta/sauce, shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, deodorant, body wash, razors, diapers, baby food.

New Vine Campus Ministry
New Vine meets weekly at 7pm on the MWSU Campus, Murphy building, Room 109. We are always looking for volunteers. Please contact Pastor Ben if interested.

Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars for June 13-17! This year, our theme is Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World. More information to follow. See Kathy Hessel, Beth Carr or Phyllis Fisher if you can help.
