Guest Speaker: Stacy Grier

We continue studying John's Gospel as we look at Jesus' teachings to his disciples in chapters 13 through 17. Discover the Genius of Jesus, and hear his guidance for your life as a Christian.

Psalm for the Day: Psalm 67

O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars for June 13-17! This year, our theme is Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World. More information to follow. See Kathy Hessel, Beth Carr or Phyllis Fisher if you can help.

Flower Sales
This weekend is our Flower Sale! Flower sales will be held April 29, 30, and May 1. We will be open from 8am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday, from 10:30am - 2pm. Help is needed, please see Kathy Hessel to sign up.

Men's Breakfast
In light of the fact that the parade is the first Saturday of May, we are cancelling the men's breakfast for May 7th.

Parade Float Information
We need help putting the float together on Friday, May 6th!   Please meet at  6 PM at the Buchanan County Farm Bureau office (610 S. Woodbine) - just south of the corner of Woodbine & Messannie.
Parade Day - We will gather at this same location at 7 AM to finalize the float and load onto it to travel to the parade lineup area.  (You will be able to leave your car at this location and we will return at the conclusion of the parade.)  We plan to depart from this location at 7:30 AM to travel to the parade line up.   Bring water (or your preference of drinks as there are not any provided).

Women's Retreat
Registration begins May 14th at 8:30am in the Church Fellowship Hall. The theme this year is Hats, Aprons, and Old Time Religion. Come dressed in your hats of yesteryear and an apron. Our speaker will be Kathy Allnutt. See Eileen Dunlap for more information.

Fellowship Hall Almost Paid Off!
Thank you to all those who have supported the building of our Fellowship Hall. Our goal is to have it paid off by our 175th Anniversary Celebration this September. We only have around $3200 left to raise to pay off the loan. If you would like to designate a gift towards the Fellowship Hall fund, please be sure to specify that by writing "Fellowship Hall" in the memo of your check, or on your offering envelope. Keep up the great work!
