What Have We Been Up To?

This newsletter is coming to you a bit late because, well... we were busy releasing Alpha 6 on Friday! Are you playing it yet? If not, we are giving out keys regularly now on our Discord, so be sure to join and get a key. We might even be opening to giving your friend(s) some keys. 😉 
 
From the previous newsletter: Thomas finished revamping most systems and re-balancing, Florian finished the intro cut-scene (coming to Early access).


Scourgebringer News

We released Alpha 6! 🙌

This is a huge balancing patch for the game as we reworked the skill tree, items (including random drops), altars and Super Fury. In addition, we implemented many fixes needed for the game. Last but not least, the infamous cucumber is now in the game... torturing Thomas. 

We also have an Open Alpha Weekend coming up! From January 17-20, we will be handing out Alpha keys like candy (unless we run out then... we cry). So again, if you're not in the Discord but are interested in the game, be sure to join us over there!

What's Next?


We're starting to prepare the early access build. This includes
    - Addressing the blocking feedback.
    - Polishing World 3 to be added to early access. 
    - Entirely revamping the tutorial slabs of text to replace them with a proper introductory level.

How is our budget doing?

Every week, we update our production budget based on our initial budget and our ongoing revenues.

ScourgeBringer budget is counted in "months of subsistence" instead of money. We believe that it is a more understandable way to explain how budgets are constructed and consumed.

Our remaining budget is: 3.47 months (15.08 weeks)*

  • So far, we consumed -22.31 months (-97 weeks) from working of this project;
  • And we consumed -1.22 months (-5.30 weeks) from investing (e.g. buying hardware, paying for services...);
  • We also earned back +15.00 months (+65.21 weeks) from our ongoing revenues (e.g. NeuroVoider & Boo! Greedy Kid sales, contract work...).

Our initial budget for ScourgeBringer was 12 months when we started.

*1 week = 0.23 month (based on a 365-day year and a 7-day week)
