Welcome to the 2nd edition of our newsletter.  Jinko has emerged from 2016 as the largest volume supplier globally. We manufacture in four countries and sell in 78 countries. We’ve also introduced high-powered mono-PERC modules into the US market.
 
It’s been quite an interesting few months.  The Golden State Warriors, whom we have sponsored for the 2nd year in a row, have continued to steamroll opponents on the way to the top of the Western Conference having already qualified for the playoffs.  We look forward to the highlights that lie ahead, particularly in the postseason. 
 
We are well into the first 100 days into the Trump Administration, similarly active to other presidencies, but definitely more controversial than most.  No matter your politics, we now operate in an environment where not everything is necessarily assumed. 
 
Each week, it seems we hear a new rumor about new policies or impact of tax reform on the solar industry- while we are not immune to all the speculation, we remain confident that the solar industry will prevail on its own merits.  To be clear, solar has grown as quickly as it has because we wield an economically competitive alternative to natural gas.  Hundreds of thousands of downstream jobs in the US abound because the cost of solar continues to decrease.  Any increase in cost associated with protectionism in the US will disadvantage the competitiveness of solar.  However, whatever occurs in the US market- we remain steadfast and committed, ready to adapt to serve our customers. 
 
Let’s take a moment to remember the various industry shocks that Jinko has weathered through the years, while emerging today in 2017 as the #1 PV module maker.  We had the expiration of the 1603 cash grant, the trade case in 2012, various instances of overcapacity, the trade case in 2014, the drama around the timing and extension of the ITC, and more than one precipitous shock to module pricing - in each case, Jinko found a way to adapt.  Using its position as the lowest cost module maker, Jinko has endured all the price shocks while remaining profitable.  Jinko has also built overseas factories to mitigate tariff risk.  Although tax reform and other policies might create more headaches, recent history shows that Jinko and the rest of the solar industry will remain resilient and find ways to thrive. 
 
We are often proud to tell customers that we are connected to you at every step- from pre-sale, to the point of sale, to delivery, even post-delivery; having a candid discussion about the political issues surrounding the energy industry is definitely part of that connectedness.  We could not be where we are without our customers, and so we look forward to marching onward with you in 2017.

Solverde 1 Project | Project Owner: sPower | Lancaster, California |106.4 MWdc

JinkoSolar Supplies 106.4 MW Solar Modules to sPower for Solverde 1 Solar Project in California

JinkoSolar has supplied 106.4 MWdc of PV modules to sPower, the largest private owner in the United States of utility-scale solar operating assets. The Solverde 1 solar farm is located in Lancaster, California, in the northern LA County.

sPower developed and completed the project within 12 months. This included signing the power purchase agreement (PPA), completing interconnection, and building and commissioning the project. To meet this schedule, JinkoSolar delivered over 330,000 of its high-efficiency polycrystalline modules to the project site in the span of just over two months.

JinkoSolar Partners with CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital to Address US Commercial Solar Market

JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc., will partner with CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital to offer long-term project financing to US commercial project customers through the SolarPACETM program.

SolarPACETM is designed to maximize solar energy cash flow to commercial and industrial (C&I) property owners.  CleanFund fully funds the installation of the system, while end users re-pay CleanFund through property taxes over terms as long as 30 years.  SolarPACETM solves most credit challenges found in commercial solar project financing.  There are solutions for tenants who are leasing their properties, as well as flexible options to utilize solar tax credits.  Project developers who use JinkoSolar modules together with SolarPACETM will be eligible for incentives that will lower their project costs.

Mike Amati | Sales and Application Engineer

Mike is based out of Yorba Linda, CA where he lives with his wife, and 3 children. A typical day for Mike consists of visiting project sites, where he offers field support for systems of all sizes. When he’s not on the road, you can find him answering any and all technical queries one might have about Jinko products.
 
A jack of all trades, Mike’s expertise does not end with solar. This family man is quite skilled in more than a few extracurriculars, such as home brewing, indoor firearm shooting, trap & skeet shotgun shooting, camping, and snowboarding. Mike balances his adrenaline-packed hobbies by spending downtime with his family at Disneyland, or playing with their family dog, Rene, a German Shepherd whom they adopted 2 years ago.
