Welcome to Chaotopia this high Summer! The Magic, Witchcraft, Chaos and Beyond workshop series will continue from September, but there's no shortage of interesting things happening.

Archive of Newsletters since Dec 2018 is here
On my blog:
A review of the astonishing Thug: Two Tales in Poésie Noire, by David Jonathan Jones

A review of Edred Thorsson's massively-rewritten History of the Rune-Gold Vol 3.

A review of 'The Private Unmentionable Gargoyle', stories by my friend Hubert Tsarko.

A video of my talk from last November at Occulture Berlin - 'Operation Mindfuck - Are the Discordians to Blame?'. The sound is a bit quiet and there are no pictures after a bit, so it's plus the text and pics.
Two issues of the Runa-Eomensyl blog:
Afterlithe-Moon issue with David Jonathan Jones's Rune Poem, and:
Mead Moon, with Part 5 of Ingrid Fischer's Germanic Soul Lore - Dreams.
Musician Horton Jupiter's beautiful bit of gonzo reportage of the Discordian PilgrimageA Field In Switzerland. This man was there!
The big news is Alan Chapman has discontinued his Wiser By Design website with its app and opened a new one, This is in order to publish the complete teachings, the integration of all Alan's work over the last ten years, and it's all available free as a series of talks and downloads.
If you are even remotely interested in awakening, check it out. It is really something.

Alan writes:
'On retreat this year, in May, the complete teaching was formalised into 12 teaching sessions. Based on the nature of the teaching, it would be inappropriate to deliver it in the form of an interactive, gamified website, which means that the final, 4th version of the master class is actually a lot simpler than I planned. In addition, it is not something to charge a fee for or to subscribe to.'
All the instructions for meditation are there, as is instruction in Binding (which used to be called Dialectical Contemplation), and a lot more, so that the teachings are much more digestible and inspiring.

Alan Chapman's work is partly inspired by Peter Kingsley. Check out: Common Sense, An Interview with Peter Kingsley

Breaking Convention - if you haven't got tickets, better get them soon!

The Journal of Psychoactive Drugs is 50! Here's the anniversary issue.

Julian Vayne is one of the contributors to a podcast about an extraordinary book I've mentioned before, The Rose of Paracelsus by William Leonard Pickard. Hosted by Lawrence "Lorenzo" Hagerty and featuring many esteemed folk as readers, this is out now.

If you like music with a psychedelic slant, and appreciate Julian Cope's divine madness, why not follow The SydArthur Festival, a virtual online festival with music every day. It celebrates the Lunar Month between the deaths of Syd Barret and Arthur Lee.

Psychedelic Press issues  XXVI and XXVII are both out now. 'It's 100 years since Ernst Späth executed the first free synthesis of mescaline. This month also sees the publication of Mike Jay's new book 'Mescaline: A Global History of the First Psychedelic', along with a new exhibition at the Bethlem Museum of the Mind: 'Brilliant Visions: Mescaline - Art - Psychiatry'.
'To join the celebrations we have an issue given over to a closer look at Peyote, San Pedro, and mescaline. It includes a never before published account by the artist Basil Beaumont from the 1930s. Beaumont was a subject in Dr Eric Guttman and Dr Walter Maclay's experiments at the Maudsley Hospital, and his extraordinary experience is given its proper context by Mike Jay. One of his artworks produced under the influence also adorns our cover this issue.'
The Boscastle Museum is hosting Julian Vayne for a Magical Words Workshop
Saturday 31 August,  10:30-17:00, Price: £30
"In this one day workshop Julian Vayne will help you discover your own magical words. We will use a range of practical techniques, including working with the spirit of the fabulous library of The Museum of Witchcraft & Magic. Explore the power of magical words and signs; from Enochian to mantras, from sigils to poetic invocation. Bring writing materials and your curiosity for this adventure into the magic of text, language, symbol and literature."

Julian and Nikki Wyrd will also be at Trans-States: The Art of Revelation transdisciplinary/occultural conference in Northampton.

And Julian and Nikki will be hasting another Deep Magic retreat St. Nectan's Glen in Cornwall from 8-10th November, themed around Ancestor and Shadow work. Bookings will open early in the autumn
shown above and further up are by Andy Cropper, from his series Kenopsia, (from the Greek, kenosis "emptiness" + opsia "seeing") - n. the eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet,
