Dear Parker County Conservative,

Happy New Year! What an incredible last year we had jam packed with new information and great key note speakers such as TX AG Ken Paxton, TX State Senators Bob Hall and Konni Burton, TX State Rep Jonathan Stickland, Dr. Laura Pressley, Wade Miller (Heritage Action), Ross Kecseg (Texans for Fiscal Responsibility), Kevin Freeman (Global Economic Warfare), Aaron Harris (Direct Action Texas), Elijah Abraham (Living Oasis Ministries) and Hiram Sasser (First Liberty) touching topics such US and Texas sovereignty and security, election integrity, state and local debt to Washington and judicial overreach. We hope that 2017 will be at least as informative.

Come and join our very first meeting in 2017 on Tuesday, January 17! We will touch on topics such as:
  • Where do YOUR federal tax dollars go?
  • TX Senate bill 2 – the Texas Property Tax Reform and Relief Act of 2017
  • Aledo ISD update
  • The first week of the 2017 Texas legislative session
  • The GOP-led efforts to repeal Obamacare
Mike Brasovan, Parker County Conservative, will be discussing federal government spending – where and how much money they spend – and provide a solution as to how we can balance the budget. A timely presentation considering the new US Congress is in the middle of budget negotiations over both the remainder of FY 2017 and FY 2018.

For those of you who are fed up with skyrocketing property taxes, Joe Palmer will be giving us a quick preview of TX Senate bill 2 – the Texas Property Tax Reform and Relief Act of 2017 recently introduced in Austin.

We will also be hearing updates on the Aledo ISD, the first week of the 2017 Texas legislative session as well as the latest news on the GOP-led efforts to repeal Obamacare.

A lot of good stuff packed in to 90 minutes and we will be implementing our PCC New Years resolution of cutting the meeting off at 8:15 PM. Our social with light dinner/snacks (available as long as they last) begins at 6 PM. The meeting itself will be 6:45-8:15 PM. Detailed directions to Parker County Cowboy Church (5050 FM5, Aledo, TX 76008) can be found below.

So invite your friends and like-minded conservatives and start off the new year with us on Tuesday, January 17th!

Kind regards,
Mike Olcott
