Breakout Session 1

Millenial Parents of Faith: What They're Thinking in a Post-2020 World
The oldest Millenials are now in their 40's, and the majority of the kids in your ministry have Millennial parents. What are their biggest concerns when it comes to their children? What are they processing about their child's future in a post-2020 world? What do they want for their (and their kids') relationship with the church? We'll discuss findings from INCM's recent research study revolving around what is on the minds of this unique group of parents.
Retaining Volunteers: Never Lose a Good One Again!
High turnover in volunteers is the greatest inhibitor of ministry momentum. The development and retention of volunteers God has already provided is critical. This breakout is FILLED with ready to implement strategies and done-for-you solutions for volunteer retention!
Time Alone with God (TAG)
A powerful and compelling call to our very foundation for life and ministry - our time alone with God. Whatever your need, this priority of time with your Father and His Word is the answer.

The Silver Bullet to the Next Generation
We don't have a next gen problem. We have a discipleship problem. This session will focus on what discipling Gen Z practically looks like in today's day and age.
Handing Down the Faith: How do we do that in a post-Christian culture?
In a humanistic world that teaches everyone to only think of themselves, followers of Jesus are called to live and serve in an upside-down Kingdom as we help those around us, and prioritize God over everything. Our world doesn't look like it used to; how do we pass down our faith to the next generation? Based on the research from Christian Smith and Amy Adamczyk, we will see trends on how religion has changed over the last 100 years and why there's never been a better time to raise the greatest generation of disciples the world has ever seen.
How Secular Culture is Shaping Today's Kids
Gender choices. LGBTQIA25. Almost 60% of church kids dropping out of church after high school. How did we get to this place? And how can we start addressing what today's kids are really dealing with in today's rising and powerful secular culture?
Journey: Use the Force Luke
Behind any great hero or heroine is a mentor who walks alongside them and calls them to be more than they think they can be. We can never underestimate the power and importance of strong mentors and the effect it has on teenagers. To accomplish this goal, you need resources and resilience to disciple students who can use their superpowers to change the world -- Trek and Journey give you tools to do just that! Come and hear how you have the potential to shape the present and the future of the church. Don't miss this encouraging breakout!
How to Have a Tough Mind and a Tender Heart
Helping students and families navigate the turbulent waters of today's culture successfully. Based on Matthew 10:16 - "Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

There are common themes in scientific attacks on creation theory. However, there are also commonalities between scientific beliefs and what the Bible states that are often overlooked as useful points in apologetics. Learn some key points to turn your apologetic discussion about creation around such that opponents to creation theory must defend their beliefs.
Loving Kids Through Discipline
We want the best for the kids who attend our club, but sometimes we're faced with kids who challenge the rules. Here's how to look behind the child's behavior and discover the "why." We will also address both minor and severe behavioral issues and look at the biblical pattern of discipline.

Breakout Session 2

Connecting with Kids in a Post 2020 World
Children all around the world have experienced a collective trauma at varying levels due to COVID-19 pandemic. Their unique experiences of the impact of lock-downs and mandates have had ramifications for their health, mental health, relationships, and development. As we re-gather in a post-2020 world, what does it look like for us to connect with kids so they can grow in their walks with Jesus? How do we help our teams build stronger connections with these kids and live as evidence that God can be trusted? We'll explore these questions and more so we can build meaningful connections with kids that empower discipleship relationships to flourish.

Discipling Resilient Kids in a Rapidly Changing Culture
What decade were you born in? Are you a Baby Boomer, a GenX-er, a Millennial, or from GenZ (welcome GenZ!)? Depending on when you were born and whereyou have lived in the U.S., you likely grew up in more of a majority Christian Culture. But what about today's kids? Today's kids are swimming in secularism and are growing up in what is rapidly becoming a post Christian culture. So this begs the question, are we adequately preparing today's kids to engage a post Christian culture and lead the church of the future? If that question piques your interest, you will enjoy this breakout as we explore the primary factors that are most likely to help form a resilient disciple for a lifetime.

Breakout Session 3

Discipling Today's Families: Approachable Ways to be the Family of God
The parents who are still connected to the Church have been clear - their desire for church is that it feels like family... for them, and for their kids. How do you define the family of God? How do our current structures hinder us from acting like a family? What might we be missing in church/parent partnership? And what do we need to do today to see kids and their parents flourishing in their walks with Jesus (and His people)? It doesn't have to be complicated. Come discover approachable ways to be the family of God!

Hear from one of the Brite curriculum team members about the process each lesson goes through, and how this process can translate into any lesson that you create as well!
Mirror Effect/Modeling Kingdom Discipleship for Today's Children
The competition for the hearts of our children is steadily increasing. Do we have the right strategy for today? Are we recognizing the barriers and obstacles or are we living in the blind spots? This session will help evaluate, encourage and create pathways to Kingdom Discipleship for the next generation.
Sharing the Whole Gospel with Children
The Gospel of Jesus saves us. His death, burial, and resurrection are the most important three days of human history. But the Cross happened within a larger story. God created all things, and humanity fell through Adam and Eve's sin. The redemptive story of the Bible begins in Genesis and plays out over time, culminating at a hill outside of Jerusalem. The Bible tells us that God will restore all things. In the meantime, those of us who believe point others to Jesus by word and by deed.
Leading on the Growing Edge
As a leader, we must be growing in our spiritual maturity. Pastor Shawn will challenge you to live and lead on the growing edge.
Kids Reaching Kids: GO!
In our self-absorbed culture, we need to be intentional in helping our kids become more like Christ and put their faith into action. In this workshop, we will discuss how GO can help kids see beyond themselves and inspire them to participate in God's mission to reach the world.

Game Time Essentials
Learn the four essential principles of a successful Game Time. Find out why Game Time is an important part of keeping Awana fun and exciting for all your kids.
How T&T Works
As a T&T leader, you are more than a helper, you are a disciple maker. We will look at what each leader needs in order to help kids navigate scripture and work in their handbooks. By moving together, T&T'ers are able to engage in deeper discipleship where they can belong, believe, and become.
