  CALL FOR PROJECTS SUBMEASURE 4.1

During 3 September 2018 – 31 December 2018, takes place the call for projects on submeasure 4.1 „Investments in agricultural holdings” - livestock sector.
Furthermore, from 3 September 2018 but until 31 March 2019, is taking place the call for projects also for submeasure 4.1 - vegetal, family farms and small farms components.

  OPEN CALL FOR PROJECTS SUBMEASURES 6.2 AND 6.4

Also starting 3 September to 31 December 2018, is taking place the call for projects for submeasures 6.2 - Business start-up aid for non-agricultural activities in rural areas and 6.4 -Support for investments in creation and development of non-agricultural activities - ITI Danube Delta area.

  ONGOING CALL FOR PROJECTS  SUBMEASURE 3.1

From  2 August until 31 December 2018, projects can be submitted on submeasure  3.1 Support for new participation in Quality Schemes of National Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.

INTERNATIONAL EVENTS
   SMART VILLAGES THEMATIC GROUP CONTINUES


Starting with  4th October, the series of Thematic Group Smart Villages meetings continues.
The topics proposed for this series aim how to design Smart Village strategies to effectively empower rural communities in different national contexts and provide a basis for the preparation of practical orientations for policy-makers.

 BIOECONOMY THEMATIC WORK GROUP 



Starting 9th October 2018, under the coordination of ENRD, the works of a new thematic group on Bioeconomy begin.

The Work Group's overall objective is to encourage the development of sustainable bio-economy value chains in rural areas in order to promote economic growth and employment whilst preserving eco-systems.

  FINDINGS OF LEADER LAG SURVEY 2017



ENRD has carried out in November 2017 a survey on LEADER/CLLD among LAGs.
The results of the survey have now been published and available to read on the ENRD website.

NATIONAL EVENTS
   EUROPEAN MOUNTAIN CONVENTION - VATRA DORNEI, 11 EDITION


During 25-27 September 2018, Euromontana organizes, in collaboration  with the Agency for the Mountain Area (AZM), the 11th edition of the European Mountain Convention, at Vatra Dornei.
The main theme of the convention is Cultural Heritage as an Engine for Creativity, Innovation and Socioeconomic
Development for the Future of Mountain areas.

  FRENCH-ROMANIAN PHOTO CONTEST: CAP, WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR ME


On the occasion of the Great Union, the end of the First World War and also of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, France and Romania strengthen their historic bound through cultural and economical events within the France-Romania Season.
Such an event is also the photo contest organised in France and Romania launched in August and lasting until October 2018, titled CAP: What does it mean to me?

The contest is open to French and Romanian students of agricultural profile schools.
Participants are invited to send until 20 October 2018, one photograph to the e-mail
: PAC.FR.RO@gmail.com .

The three categories of the contest are:
  • Generational renewal
  • Agriculture/forestry and environment
  • Agriculture and food
The jury is composed by three Romanian photographers, Sorin Onișor, Dan Mirica and Raluca Ene, and three French photographers, DICOM within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food/Xavier Remongin, Pascal Xicluna and Cheick Saidou).

  VILLAGES' REUNION - ANNUAL GATHERING OF ROMANIAN UNITED VILLAGES 


Over 700 traditional artists, musicians, crafters, dncers and persons active in promoting traditional Romanian culture gathered during 18-19 August 2018 at Săpânța, on the occasion of Reunion of Villages. 
The 700 participants were part of 45 delegations representing 30 counties.

Among the participants were two delegations from the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Serbia - Vojvodina region. 
The  “UNITED VILLAGES OF ROMANIA” project aims to promote traditional Romanian culture, and is also a call to action addressed both to the rural communities, as well as to the urban public.
 
 
The organizers of this first edition were the County Council of  Maramureș, with the support of Intercultural Association for Traditions (Asociația Interculturala de Tradiții) under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity.

The project offers each rural community the chance to promote its own micro-event on Union Map (Harta Unirii) and to propose the hosting f the annual gathering  "Reunion of Villages" , by a different county each year.

  FESTIVAL OF FOLK CRAFTERS, AT THE 8th EDITION

During 21-26 August 2018, the center of Târgu-Jiu  hosted the 8th edition of the Festival of Folk Crafters. Almost 42 crafters from various counties attended the event, presenting their trade, such as ceramics, leather, wood,folk jewelery , paintings on glass, sowing, sculpture and more
The event was organized by the County Center for Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture Gorj and Gorj County Council, with the support of Târgu Jiu City Hall.


  FESTIVAL OF CHEESE AND PLUM BRANDY, RĂȘINARI
 

The town hall of Rășinari commune - Sibiu county, in partnership with LAG Mărginimea Sibiului and RNDR, organized during  25-26 August 2018, at Valea Ștezii, the Festival of  Cheese and Plum Brandy.

The event comprised gastronomic shows, thematic workshops for children and grow-ups, as well as a debate on traditional products in Mărginimea Sibiului.

The debate was attended by agricultural producers from  Mărginimea Sibiului, officials from neighboring communes and Neamt county, representatives  from central and  territory level of Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, guests from Republic of Moldova- Corjova commune and from Slovakia, LAGs and associations from  Mărginimea Sibiului.

Within the debate were analysed topics such as implementing protected geographical indications (PGI) and quality standards, "mountain product" quality facultative mention, Law of the Mountain and other subjects presented by the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and of the Agency of Mountain Area.
