Melvis Santa and The Ashedi Proyect
Special Guest, direct from Cuba: Brenda Navarrete
Melvis Santa has had the kind of success many Cuban musicians might envy. In 1997, when she was 14, she started the R&B quartet Sexto Sentido with three friends. The group was championed by, among others, pianist Chucho Valdés. Melvis left Sexto Sentido in 2012 to develop as a solo artist. For this very special Sabor a Café show, she will be joined by special guest percussionist and singer Brenda Navarette.
