May at Sabor a Café means music from Brazil, Cuba, Bolivia and right here in sweet home Chicago.

Experience the warmth of our music stage every Thursday through Saturday as we present the finest in music from Chicago and the world.

Melvis Santa and The Ashedi Proyect
Special Guest, direct from Cuba: Brenda Navarrete

Melvis Santa has had the kind of success many Cuban musicians might envy. In 1997, when she was 14, she started the R&B quartet Sexto Sentido with three friends. The group was championed by, among others, pianist Chucho Valdés. Melvis left Sexto Sentido in 2012 to develop as a solo artist. For this very special Sabor a Café show, she will be joined by special guest percussionist and singer Brenda Navarette.
