Join us for a rally to let our elected JCPS Board of Education know we've got their backs! Tonight at 5:00 PM, they are potentially discussing and voting on how to respond to the latest "deal" from interim Commissioner Wayne Lewis. If they accept a deal, this could be our LAST CHANCE to be heard! We don't want them to accept any deals where JCPS is not in a position to improve and be successful in the long run. We don't want them to accept any deals where voters and taxpayers lose their voice and their representation. We don't want them to accept any deals that allow people less experienced or qualified making decisions about our local schools. We would rather have our #DayInCourt than hand over the controls to appointed individuals who have no skin in the game, and who have demonstrated their agenda has more to do with charters and privatization of public education than about improving outcomes of our students. Does JCPS need to improve? Absolutely!! But a state takeover is not the answer. Join us today!
Today at 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Louisville is already in the midst of a "takeover" of our public schools, which began in 2015. It's been authentic and community led! The last thing we need right now is an added layer of bureaucracy by folks who are not invested in our community, who have less experience than our elected board, and who have zero accountability to taxpayers of Jefferson County.
Free #StopChartersInKY window decals for the first 100 attendees.

About Dear JCPS
Dear JCPS has been holding district and state leaders accountable since 2015. We were instrumental in affecting the makeup of the current democratically elected school board. We rallied for the resignation of our ineffective and tone-deaf superintendent. We were successful! Now, Koch-funded state leaders are attempting a takeover of our district, trying to do the exact things that caused us to remove their operatives at the district level: privatize, make room for charters, siphon our tax dollars into their pockets. Not today! Please be sure to elect authentic candidates who represent their constituents, not out-of-state, special interests.
