Tom Kenter joins the JOURNEYS staff after serving for several years as a Site Director at Palatine Presbyterian Church where he is a member of the congregation. Tom and his family have lived in the Palatine area for many years and see JOURNEYS as a key agency that makes Palatine a better community. In his new role, he hopes to be part of the team that helps JOURNEYS continue to positively impact the lives of others and the communities it serves.
Amanda is from Chicago and has a background in the social sciences and Chinese Studies. She has a passion for volunteering with local nonprofits.

Did you hear JOURNEYS on the Radio?

JOURNEYS is so proud to have been asked by Cornerstone National Bank & Trust Company to participate in their recent radio ad campaign!
Cornerstone Bank is one of our most valued Corporate Partners and we were so happy to participate in this project.
If you missed the ad on WBBM in August, the Cornerstone/JOURNEYS ad is also scheduled to run the week of September 6 on 670 The Score.
JOURNEYS is happy to announce that the incredible team from Heartland Alliance are back in the HOPE Center on Thursdays providing free health care for JOURNEYS clients.
For 20 years Nurse Practitioner, Mary Tornabene, and the dedicated team at Heartland Alliance have been assisting JOURNEYS clients with their health care needs. Throughout the pandemic, they have been providing regular health care to clients in the hotels, along with COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, as well as numerous telehealth visits. They continue to ensure that clients receive life-saving prescriptions, as well as emergency medical intervention if needed.

JOURNEYS | The Road Home is extremely grateful for Mary, her team, and this valuable service made available to clients!
