Dear <<First Name>>,

We’ve learned that French fracking company Total has applied to drill new gas wells near Mother’s Heart Learning Center, a daycare that serves primarily black and latino children. This is the same site where City Council wisely rejected another drilling permit application from Total last year due to public health concerns and the impact it would have on neighborhoods already facing health and economic challenges.

Action Alert: Stop Total from Fracking Next to Arlington Toddlers!

If you’re an Arlington resident, we’re asking you to sign the petition telling the mayor and city council to reject Total’s drilling permit near Mother’s Heart and to commit to rejecting any future gas well drilling and fracking next to Arlington daycares.

This is an urgent issue - the city could schedule a public hearing on the drilling permits in the next few weeks!

Once you’ve signed the petition, please share it widely with your friends, family, and neighbors in Arlington and ask them to sign it to protect Arlington toddlers from dangerous fracking pollution!

If we don’t stop Total from drilling near daycares, Arlington children will be exposed to serious potential health risks, including:

We can’t risk exposing children in our community to more toxic pollutants. Tarrant County already has the highest rate of childhood asthma in the nation and a high rate of birth defects.

Thank you for taking action to protect Arlington’s children!

Warm Regards,

Ranjana Bhandari
