Celebrating the Reason for the Season

Pictured above (from left to right): Caleb Gerbitz, Kyle Koenen, JJ Sherman, Senator Kapenga, Christian Laatsch, Kaleb Vander Wiele.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, it is important to spread joy and love to our family, friends, and neighbors. I wanted to share this picture of my staff with you so that you can put faces to names, if you have ever contacted my office. I am thankful to have a strong team to support me in the office, as well as my great family to support me at home and in all of my endeavors. I hope everyone has a blessed week. Merry Christmas!

Ethan Allen Sex Offender Proposal

My office has received many emails and phone calls regarding Milwaukee Alderman Tony Zielinski's assertion that the former Ethan Allen School for Boys should be converted to housing for certain sex offenders. Many of your friends and neighbors are against this proposal and I would like to reassure you that I am also opposed to the idea. Alderman Zielinski must be unfamiliar with Delafield, as the Ethan Allen site is neither "remote," nor "away from neighborhoods, away from potential victims, and away from playgrounds and schools." (You can find his entire press release here.)

While no official proposal has been circulated in the Legislature, I will be working to discuss this matter with the rumored author in order to ensure that the Ethan Allen site is not under consideration for the housing of sex offenders of any kind. The safety of our communities should never be sacrificed, and I do not feel that Mr. Zielinski's idea is either appropriate or plausible.

Upcoming Town Hall Meetings

As always, if you are unable to attend these office hours, and you have any comments or questions, please email me at or give me a call at (608) 266-9174.
