Later today, the Senate will be in session to consider a number of pieces of legislation. Two of the bills on the agenda are Senate Bills 292 and 294. Senate Bill 292 makes numerous changes to Wisconsin's campaign finance laws and Senate Bill 294 reorganizes the Government Accountability Board (GAB). Make sure to read next week's e-update for a full recap of what we all pass during today's session.

From Milwaukee Business Journal:
Brookfield developer HSI Properties LLC is planning a 125,000-square-foot medical office building in Delafield next to one it has under construction for Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin. The multi-tenant office building would be the second health care project for the Brookfield developer, which until now has focused mostly on apartment developments. It is planned on Golf Road, north of I-94 and west of County Highway SS.

Kettle Moraine School Visit
|
|
On Tuesday, I took a break from preparing for caucus to visit with a school group from Kettle Moraine. Representative Cindi Duchow (who serves in my old Assembly seat) and I had the opportunity to discuss our state government, our roles as legislators, and the Capitol building with the students. Luckily for them, the rotunda was open again, so they could get the full Capitol experience.
If you are in Madison, you will surely want to tour the Capitol. Free tours are given daily from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m. To book your Capitol tour, click here.
