E ~ Newsletter: December 2016

Dear Friends,
If you are like me, then you are probably wondering how quickly the year 2016 has come to a close! Yet, it has been a very important year for the CYNESA family, with many milestones reached, some of which we have documented and faithfully shared with you through this e-newsletter.

In this final edition for 2016, we have the honour of speaking with the Bishop of Manzini, Swaziland, Rt. Rev. Jose Luis Ponce de Leon. He shares with us some reflections on Laudato Si' which the bishops of Southern Africa chose as their focus, for their 11th plenary session of IMBISA. This challenge and emphasis on "living Laudato Si", is a commitment we renew ourselves to as we look forward to another calendar year.
For now, on behalf of all of us at 'the network of young Catholics in Africa, caring for creation', please accept our deepest gratitude for your readership, prayer, encouragement and support. Asante sana! It has been a most consoling experience to receive your feedback, and we can't wait to interact with you after the holidays. A blessed Christmas time and Happy 2017 to you all.

Africa ~ Caring for our Common Home
"Other continents often admire our African continent because of the natural resources we have been blessed with, like different types of trees, rivers, lakes, mineral and our unique animals. But it is sad to note that many a times, we have failed to take care of these gifts”.
