Thank you all for helping to get the word out about our recent Open House and the lottery application process.
Nearly 300 people attended the Open House (a new record!) and Compass has now received 1,310 lottery applications (a new record!).
We're reaching out because the lottery officially closes on Thursday, March 16, 2023. That's just days away!
After March 16th, additional applications are placed on a "post lottery list". Compass receives so many applications by the deadline that we have never accessed a post lottery list. The true deadline for consideration, even for siblings, is March 16th.
If someone in your network intended to apply but has not yet OR if your child has a sibling and wishes to be considered for the lottery, know that it is essential to submit an application prior to the lottery close.
Again, note that all current students are automatically enrolled next year; no need for additional action on your part.
Yesterday, I shared information about Surveyworks, a climate and culture survey hosted by the RI Department of Education.
A few families noted that the questions are set up by student as opposed to by family. They wondered a family has multiple children at Compass if they should submit a separate survey for each child. Yes, please do!
