Are you ready for berries and blooms?
A volunteer with freshly harvested strawberries.
Do you want to support Common Roots Farm as we bring new opportunities to farmers of all abilities, including those with intellectual/developmental disabilities? Our Berries and Blooms CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a wonderful way to bring fresh strawberries, organic flowers, and an assortment of seasonal vegetables from our farm into your home each week.

By subscribing, you will receive a weekly farm share that includes two pints of organic strawberries (we find one is not enough, they are so good!), a bouquet of mixed flowers, and a seasonal farmer's surprise (cucumbers, carrots, melons, broccoli, or the like). Farm fresh eggs can be added as well.

You can pick up your share at our farm during the week, or stop by during our Saturday farm stand hours if that is more convenient for you. We will also be making a weekly delivery in Mountain View for our friends in Silicon Valley.

Please consider this direct form of support because each CSA share offers meaningful work opportunities to people with disabilities in our community.

Another successful work day on the farm
Volunteers gather for a group photo before lunch.
Thanks to all 120 volunteers who joined us, we were able to accomplish many important tasks, including painting our new shed, prepping our nursery tables for propagation, cleaning harvest totes, laying all-important weed mat, installing a trellis for climbing cucumbers, mulching and composting planting beds, removing invasive plants from our creek area, and much more. Everything that we did is another step toward achieving our mission of creating an organic farm where people with disabilities and others build community while growing healthy food and beautiful flowers.

Our community of supporters came out in force to get the 2019 farm season off to a promising start. We all enjoyed another lovely lunch prepared by our dedicated kitchen crew, too, including our own eggs, lettuce, and strawberries.

Whether you were here for the first time or a returning volunteer, our entire team thanks you for helping out. We are invigorated by every bit of support we receive and we thank you for making a difference on our farm.
