LAST MEETING

ACCLA's January 10, 2016 meeting was brought to order by President Ken Friedman at 1:20 PM. Treasurer Barry Rightman gave the Treasurer's report. Secretary Michael Connor announced that the federal and state Annual Returns had been filed. We now have over 900 followers on facebook. Merrill Gibson is organizing an ACCLA presentation at the California State Numismatic Association's 48th Annual Southern California Educational Symposium in Van Nuys on April 23, 2016. Holding an ACCLA meeting at the August ANA World's Fair of Money that will be held in Anaheim was discussed and agreed to by consensus, and a motion to book a room at the meeting was proposed, seconded and carried on a unanimous vote. Vice-President Roger Burry reviewed upcoming meeting programs.

Voting was held on the Annual Barbara Rightman Award for the most popular presentation of the year. Congratulations to winner Randy Butler for his outstanding December 2015 presentation I, Claudius in Coins, Part III.

A brief, spirited auction was held. The formal meeting was then adjourned so that members could enjoy the holiday potluck that was so well organized by Betty Eiseman.
