LAST MEETING

ACCLA's December and Annual Member's meeting was brought to order by President Ken Friedman at 1:34 PM. He began by announcing that a brief Board Meeting would be held immediately after this meeting. Treasurer Barry Rightman gave the Treasurer's report. Secretary Michael Connor gave his web report. We now have 831 followers on facebook. Paul Ranc thanked Michael for upgrading the Monthly Meeting Notice. Ken reported that the California State Numismatic Association had asked if ACCLA could provide a speaker for its 48th Annual Southern California Educational Symposium on April 23, 2016. Merrill Gibson outlined his thoughts for our proposed meeting to be held in conjunction with the ANS World's Fair of Money. There was much general discussion about celebrating the Club's 50 year. Betty Eiseman circulated the sign-up list for the January banquet. Vice-President Roger Burry reviewed upcoming meeting programs.

This being the Annual Member's meeting, elections were held for Officers and Board members. The following were elected by acclamation:
President Kenneth Friedman
Vice President Roger Burry

Secretary Michael Connor
Past President Merrill Gibson
Board Member Randolph Butler
Board Member Bob Lattanzi

The program I Claudius in Coins, Part III was given by Randy Butler. Randy regaled us with an entertaining and erudite review of Claudius' family background and life as an Emperor that was nicely illustrated with coins mainly from Randy's collection. Thank you Randy!
