The February 14, 2016 meeting was gaveled to order by ACCLA President Ken Friedman at 1:30 PM. Barry Rightman gave his Treasurer's Report. The Treasury is in very good health which stands us in good stead in this golden anniversary year. Secretary Michael Connor gave an update on the ACCLA web site and social media outreach. We now have 980 followers on facebook. Members were reminded to send him images of new acquisitions for the monthly meeting notices. Vice-President and program coordinator Roger Burry gave a rundown of the upcoming programs. The near future will feature a coin photography workshop and seminar on the coins of Olympia.

Merrill Gibson gave updates on the April 23, 2016 California State Numismatic Association (CSNA) Southern Educational Symposium (see the details below) and the August 2016, American Numismatics Association (ANA) show in Anaheim. ACCLA will become a member of ANA to facilitate our meeting at the Anaheim event.

In the round robin, Ken Friedman mentioned that Tom Cederlind's coin collection will be sold by CNG; Joe Tooma passed round a plastic business card with magnifying lens of the type that we had previously discussed buying for the Club; and, Randy Butler read a short story on the recently deceased Shlomo Moussaieff, the celebrated jeweler and antiquities hoarder.

The February meeting presentation featured Who Is Artabanos? our popular coin and ancient history quiz. The quiz was hosted by quizmaster Roger Burry with Betty Eiseman as scorekeeper. The meeting attendees were divided into three teams. Kudos to Roger for his cracking questions and to Team A who by a landslide.
