The UFRJ Science Park participated in the 26th Conference of the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators – Anprotec (Associação Nacional de Entidades Promotoras de Empreendimentos Inovadores), one of the country’s largest events of entrepreneurship and innovation. The conference happened from October 17 to 20, in Fortaleza, and brought together representatives from science parks, business incubators, accelerators, corporate ventures and co-working places.
During the closing ceremony, the UFRJ Science Park presented a video inviting the audience to participate in the next edition of the event, to happen in Rio de Janeiro, in 2017. The film showed different organizations of the entrepreneurship movement, and also presented some of the technologies that have been developed in the city in the last few years.
The UFRJ Science Park is one of the proposers of the application submitted by the Network of Incubators, Technological Centers and Science Parks of Rio de Janeiro – REINC (Rede de Incubadoras, Polos e Parques Tecnológicos do Rio de Janeiro), which is also supported by Rio de Janeiro’s City Government, and by FAPERJ (Research Support Foundation of Rio de Janeiro). The event will take place at SulAmérica Convention Center, located downtown Rio, in 2017. |
