The UFRJ Science Park, the PUCRS Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc), and the Digital Port from Recife, signed an agreement to create a Softlanding program. An unprecedented partnership in Brazil, it aims at enabling the exchange between companies located within the innovative environments of parks in Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Recife.
Each park will reserve five workplaces in the respective co-working areas to receive the companies. In total, 15 companies will be able to try out the innovative environments of each Park and interact with the ecosystem and partners. It is expected that the first companies will be installed between March and May of 2017.
For José Carlos Pinto, CEO of UFRJ Science Park, the Softlanding creation will reinforce the interaction between the companies and the other innovation, technology and research environments in Brazil and in other countries.
“The Project is very relevant to stimulate the exchange of experiences between the parks, allowing the resident companies to become more mature and to have the opportunity to interact with other innovative environments. It is the first step towards the mobility of companies interested in expanding their territories. It is the first time the large Brazilian parks organize themselves to jointly promote these actions. The aim is to expand the action to a greater number of innovative environments”, states José Carlos Pinto. |
