| ARRIVAL | | PROMEC AND GPE ARE THE MOST RECENTLY-INSTALLED COMPANIES AT UFRJ SCIENCE PARK |  | | Promec, a company that offers consulting services as well as technical-scientific training in numeric modeling and software engineering, and GPE, specialized in strategic processes management and IT, are the most recent residents at the UFRJ Science Park. Both have graduated at Coppe/UFRJ Business Incubator and are together with Aquafluxus in the post-incubation program of the Park, which aims at supporting the growth of the companies originated from incubation programs from all over Brazil. The call for tender for small, medium-sized and large companies is still open. |
| SHARING | | COWORKING SPACE OF THE PARK IS OPENED WITH A DEBATE ON UNIVERSITY ENTREPRENEURSHIP |  | | On April 5, the UFRJ Science Park opened its coworking space with an event which promoted a debate on university entrepreneurship and its relevance for the fostering of innovation and creative economy. In addition to representatives of the Park’s companies and of UFRJ innovation movements, the congressman Otávio Leite was also present at the event, when he reported on his activities to develop initiatives aimed at entrepreneurship in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The coworking space in the Park will have a working area of around 313,5m² divided in 40 workplaces for private use, as well as a meeting room and socializing spaces. The originality of this initiative is the possibility to increase networking and business by interacting with large, small and medium-sized companies already located in the Park. |
