The UFRJ Science Park and Telefônica Open Future established a partnership to create a crowdworking space for digital entrepreneurs. The program aims at fostering Rio de Janeiro’s innovation ecosystem through an entrepreneurial action within the Park’s environment to stimulate the development of new technology-based innovating businesses.
Crowd Rio, as the program is named, will be located in the coworking space of the UFRJ Science Park and is in search of businesses that deal with IoT (Internet of Things) and digital technologies.
Registrations are open in the Openfuture.org platform or through this link until March 10. Ten startups will be selected.
The program will last up to one year, divided in three four-month rounds. During this period, the companies will have at their disposal a physical infrastructure and a package of services related to the methodology of Wayra/Open Future businesses acceleration. In addition, they will have access to an innovation environment open to the technological development in a partnership with UFRJ researchers as well as the opportunity of establishing networking with other startups, small and medium-sized companies and R&D centers of large multinationals, already residents in the Park and in the COPPE/UFRJ Business Incubator. |
