Date Change for December Spontaneous
Because of the school's closure for the holiday break, next month's Spontaneous Workshop has been moved to Saturday, December 12. The time and location — 1 to 4 p.m. at Lee Middle School, 1201 Maury Road, Orlando — will remain the same.
Coaches who already have registered for the December workshop are asked to email Anna Long to verify that they are aware of the change and to update, if necessary, the number of attending team members. Coaches who prepaid but cannot attend will receive a refund. Currently registered for December are:
- Murphy/Lake Highland — 6 members
- Norato/Lee — 5 members
- Norato/Princeton — 5 members
- Overly/Lee — 7 members
- Paré/Lee — 6 members
- Phillips/Princeton — 5 members
- Johnson/Partin — 10 members

To register for the December or January Spontaneous Workshops, complete the form on the Dates page and send in your pre-payment. We have reached capacity for the November workshop and expect these two also to follow that pattern. Cost is $5 per participating team member, and you will be notified when your pre-payment has been received.
Coaches Training Workshops
Because of a flurry of recent new memberships, we have added one more General Coaches Training Workshop. This really is the last one for the year!
The workshop will be held Tuesday, November 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Glenridge Middle School Media Center, 2900 Upper Park Road, Orlando. The workshop is free, but you do need to pre-register, which you can do on the Dates page.
There also is a General Coaches Training Workshop tonight at Princeton Elementary School, 311 W. Princeton St., Orlando. Coaches are asked to register by 5 p.m. today.
Team Registration Deadline: December 15
The deadline for teams to register is Tuesday, December 15.
To register your team, go to the FLOMA Member's Area home page. In addition to providing information about your team, you will need to provide information about your volunteer judge and your volunteer worker. Complete details about fees, requirements and the roles and expectations for volunteer judges and volunteer workers are on our Register page.
To date, 37 teams have initiated the registration process, but only three have completed it and paid.
One more thing: If your team's volunteer judge works for a company that provides volunteer grants, please have him or her review the policy to determine whether Magic Center, which has 501(c)(3) status, could be eligible. A partial list of companies that may offer such programs, in addition to team volunteer grant programs, is on the How to Help page.
