Young Leaders Programme 2017
The deadline to apply for the 2017 Young Leaders Programme is fast approaching! The Young Leaders Programme aims to “engage young leaders to be part of the debate on the future of international development and cooperation.” 16 extraordinary young leaders between 21 and 26 years of age from around the globe with “proven commitment and community engagement” who are ‘movers and shakers’ in their communities and countries will be invited by the European Commission to take part in the Young Leaders Programme at this year’s European Development Days (EDD 2017) to represent the work and impact on development achieved by youth. The event is Europe’s leading forum on international cooperation and development. Young Leaders will focus on the international community’s strategic response to the most pressing global challenges, as part of the international effort to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Apply by March 9!
In some wonderful Cyprus startup news this week, Limassol-based software startup RadiantFleet was accepted to the Portxl World Port Accelerator. Out of 700 startups that applied from around the world, 20, including RadiantFleet, were selected to participate in the Selection Days of PortXL. The 20 startups participated in four intensive days in Rotterdam until the final eleven were selected. These 11 startups will now enter an intensive 100-day program for market launch. Congrats to RadiantFleet and best of luck!
