2017 Stelios Bi-Communal Awards

On Wednesday, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation announced the launch of the 2017 Stelios Bi-Communal Awards for the ninth consecutive year.  With their objective to "strengthen the socio-economic ties between the two communities on the island and to encourage cooperation between Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots," the awards have expanded this year with plans to award a total of €750,000, €10,000 to each of the 75 winning bi-communal teams.  Among the eligible categories for the awards include business cooperations!  Like the Foundation's Facebook page for application information and join the Facebook group to interact with its nearly 2,000 members.

February 15 is the deadline for the 2017 IDEA Acceleration Programme.  This marks the second call for applications for participation in the programme, which considers eligible "teams of 2 to 5 persons with a creative and innovative idea with global outlook." The accelerator will accept 8 teams to be hosted for free for up to 9 months with access to mentors, training, consultancy, networking, and more.  Applications are also open for LimassolGrind, a new incubator and co-working space in Limassol.  Apply today!

If you haven't already, don't forget to join our community of over 1,100 innovators island-wide.
