We are pleased to provide an update on the many activities the Red ANA has carried out in the past month. One year after the UNHCR launched the #IBelong Campaign to End Statelessness, the Red ANA is successfully sharing good practices of States, engaging with experts, and training network members. 

Red ANA's First Annual Conference

The Red ANA's First Annual Conference took place on October 22nd at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) in Washington DC. Representatives of the UNHCR and of the Governments of Brazil and Chile, as well as the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Migrants of the IACHR, discussed achievements and challenges with respect to nationality and statelessness in the Americas. 

US Strategic Country Meeting

On October 29th, the Red ANA carried out a strategic meeting for its work in the United States. US Red ANA members met with experts in the field of nationality and statelessness in the US to exchange information and strategies and articulate Red ANA objectives.

Webinar on Achieving Gender Equality in Nationality Law

The Red ANA hosted a webinar on October 29th on achieving gender equality in nationality laws. The webinar was presented by Catherine Harrington from the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights.
