There's just no stopping it!

Looking out at this morning's new layer of snow, I was struck by the amazing opportunity we're given up here in the north. Just when it seems we'll never see an end to the tired, dirty snow piles outside and the stinky, over-worn boots inside (just speaking for my own household here!), Spring sneaks up on us again. I think it might be thanks to the backdrop of this long deep freeze that we're able to be so amazed by the flowers and bugs, babies and the lengthening of days, that we can see them as the annual miracles they really are. Every year we get reminded: Life is irrepressible--there's just no stopping it.

In the Christian tradition, we celebrate the irrepressible nature of life each year at Easter. Find out how we'll be walking the road with Jesus during Holy Week and celebrating on Easter Sunday at Cedar Park. Everyone's invited, no matter what.

Keep reading for a rundown of all the life-filled opportunities available to you at and through Cedar Park.

Looking forward to connecting with you soon,

Our next F4: A Friday Evening in Community will be on April 7. Doors open at 5:30pm, with dinner served around 6. We'll be sharing in a meal of butter chicken (vegetarian option also available) with cookies and Chinese ice cream for dessert. We'll be showing the film Robots. Please let us know if you plan on coming and if you'd like to help set up or clean up.

High school students are welcome to head to the NeXt Zone for board games during the film. Have an interested teen in your house? Contact me to find out more.
The West Island Parent Meetup is back on April 6 at Mini Connections! Come enjoy fair trade coffee, snacks and a chat with Jessica Legault from Growing Together/Grandir Ensemble. You can help her plan by letting her know you'll be there.

Mini Connections continues throughout the month of April on Thursdays from 9:15 to 11 am in our Community Hall. It's been really neat to see so many of you join the Mini Connections Facebook group over the past month, too.
