TRACTION: Empowering young people in need

Helping young people go places!

Tools down! TRACTION supported 52 participants through our youth mentoring programs this term, bringing the total number of young people TRACTION has helped to 769. We welcome your ongoing support so we can continue to help kids in need.

It was great to have TRACTION graduate Daniel drop into the workshop. Part of the TRACTION Alumni, he's now building his own future career undertaking further training at trade college.

Thank you for making a difference!

Heartfelt thanks to the Scenic Rim business community for getting behind our first local Supporter Dinner on 7th March. $30,000 was raised towards a target of providing places for 72 young people in need at our Beaudesert workshop from term 3 this year. Particular thanks to Gelita, Nindooinbah, Matt Morland, and David and Noeleen Morgan of The Overflow Estate for their significant support.

GRASSROOTS COMMUNITY SUPPORT - MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Sincere thanks to the Inner West Brisbane Rotary Club, the Lions Club of Capalaba, Beaudesert Lions, the Victoria Point & Wynnum Community Bank Branch (Bendigo Bank) for their ongoing support.

Thanks Ellaspede! When you buy a ticket to ride a TRACTION postie at Dust Hustle 8, a portion of the ticket price is donated to TRACTION. It's a great way to take part in the action if you don't have your own motorcycle. GET YOUR TICKET HERE

Sizzle! Thanks Bunnings Capalaba for the chance for TRACTION to run a sausage sizzle fundraiser in February.

Healthy! Thanks to Barb and Debbie from CUA for donating stationery and breakfasts for participants at our Alexandra Hills workshop.

About TRACTION

TRACTION empowers young people in need. TRACTION helps young people positively engage with their community, discover their talents and create their own future.

We understand that everybody learns differently and some young people do not realise their potential in a classroom. TRACTION provides a safe environment where young people restore items donated by the community and with the guidance of mentors, learn new skills and put them into action through participation in real, tangible and meaningful learning activities.
