Ready to return to work and school?  Check out these tips to refresh and re-energize your mind, body, and even your lunch! Set yourself up for a productive fall and winter. 

The Bento box is the new boxed lunch
Lunch is no longer a sandwich and an apple in a brown bag. Pack a fun, light, and nutritious lunch using the Bento box method. Bite size items of vegetables, proteins, nuts, and crackers are loaded in separate compartments.  The meal encourages healthy snacking as it can be eaten throughout the day for sustained energy. Try Bento box ideas that can enliven the appeal of your lunch for all.
Exfoliate
When you rake the leaves and prune the bushes this fall, think about how it's similar to scrubbing your mind and body. After the effects of the sun and beach on your skin, and running barefoot (I know you have been earthwalking!), get a salt scrub for your skin, schedule a facial, and pumice those feet. Remember to continue to hydrate as fall air is drier. For the mind - try to incorporate some meditation to focus on those fall projects at the office or home. And for self development, there are plenty of new workshops and courses to enroll.
Pumpkin isn't just for dessert
Pumpkin is a popular fall squash containing Vitamin A and C. For cooking purposes, look for the small sugar or pie pumpkins. Other squashes such as acorn and butternut can also be used in pumpkin recipes. Some dish ideas include pumpkin soup, puree for pasta sauce, stews, and grilled cheese or pizza. The larger more commonly sold pumpkins aren't used for eating but for decorative use.  And that canned pumpkin popular in pie is usually made from other squashes. So try some of those different ideas to get the full benefits of pumpkin this fall!
