The Downtown Crozet Initiative (DCI) is a volunteer organization. The goal of the DCI is to work closely with developers and the Crozet community at large to help ensure that the former Barnes Lumber site and properties nearby are transformed into a vibrant and successful downtown that represents the unique character of Crozet. This is a community-wide effort. Participation at the monthly meetings is welcome. Feedback is encouraged on the DCI web site and Facebook page.

The Downtown Crozet Initiative (DCI) Planning Committee will meet next week to discuss:
  • The hiring of a landscape architecture firm for the public plaza.
  • A timeline related to the design of the plaza and fundraising for this space.
  • New policy changes of Albemarle County's that could have a positive impact on the Barnes Lumber redevelopment. 
This is a public meeting. Participation is welcome and encouraged!
