International Christian Dance Foundation
The Foundation wanted to contribute in a positive way to our community during this unusual period of social upheaval and isolation.
“I was aware of how crippling the pandemic is for dancers, worshippers, dance teachers and every person involved in the creative process, so I jumped at the opportunity for the Foundation to sponsor a solo on a young dancer affected by the pandemic. My thought was that the Foundation might be able to offer hope to the dance community through the medium of dance,” says Jenny Dennis, Chair of the Foundation.
This dance was filmed in an unusually empty church in downtown Sydney, under social isolation rules last Sunday. The light from the stained-glass windows shone on the white clad dancer, reminding us of our vulnerability yet strength we have in our Lord Jesus. While Celine danced her prayer for dancers worldwide, the usual church service was being zoomed into homes and apartments across Sydney- also apart yet together!
We hope you will be encouraged by this dance!
“This is stunning! So inspiring!’ Susie Bond,Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher, Sydney
“Incredibly inspiring combination of elite talent, execution and energy captured so expertly on film… Celine’s hard work and dedication provides an incredible role model for youth who may be feeling down in these challenging times. This dance work is such a gift to the world right now.” Lucy Jarasius, ICDFF Steering Committee Asia-Pacific Connection
“Wow! Amazing! So professional and with a real message". Mary Jones AOM, ICDF Founder and CaraMayan Director
