Dear <<First Name>><<Last Name>>

Special greetings on this Leap Day!

Every ELCIA member must be closely watching the budget announcements today!

Many suggestions and requests have been made. ELCINA, the industry association has asked for policy with a bottom-up approach to ensure investments in the value chain are strengthened and MSMEs supported with inputs for manufacturing available at globally competitive rates. The IT ministry has suggested removal of duties on inputs used by export-oriented units.

At ELCIA, we hope there is enough attention paid, and budget allocated for implementation of the policy too.

Do share your thoughts and feedback on the budget that we can post on the ELCIA website and social media.

Co-innovation, Collaboration Opportunities within ELCIA
A team from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, led by Prof Stanley Nollen is working on a project to optimize ELCIA’s internal efficiencies to create an environment that promotes collaboration and optimization that is attractive to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

As synergies are found among members, they will provide opportunities for alliances/partnerships/joint ventures that can increase their efficiencies and profitability. This will give ELCIA a competitive advantage. The team will submit the final report in March 2016.
