We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Ferocious Lotus is a recipient of the Oakland Awesome Foundation grant for June 2021! We are sincerely grateful to the Oakland chapter of The Awesome Foundation for their support, which will go towards supporting our production of ROOTED: Stories of Belonging Inspired by Asian Elders in the Bay Area on June 13.

The Awesome Foundation is a global community advancing the interest of awesome in the universe, $1,000 at a time. Each fully autonomous chapter supports awesome projects through micro-grants, usually given out monthly. These micro-grants, $1,000 or the local equivalent, come out of pockets of the chapter's "trustees" and are given on a no-strings-attached basis to people and groups working on awesome projects.

It means so much to us that this grant is coming from our own local community in the Bay Area. Every dollar of financial support provided goes a long way towards empowering us to illuminate the Asian American experience as part of the human experience through art and advocacy. A gift of any amount can help get us there; please donate to our Ferocious Futures GoFundMe campaign.
