The things we loved in January.

Kovie's Things:
1. I've been drinking copious amounts of tea. The YSWARA brand makes excellent tea. Current favourite: Makeda of Sheba - Sparkling wine infused Rooibos & Berries Tea.
2. This Valerie Black hand-painted dress is currently my favourite piece of clothing. No regrets, no remorse whatsoever!
3. On Being Podcast. I've listened to Gordon Hempton talk about Silence and the Presence of Everything at least half a dozen times in the last month.
4. Narganics, a Nigerian natural and organic skincare brand, has won my heart with its lush-smelling products and beautifully minimalist packaging. Love!
5. Bez' Gbagyi Child album on repeat.

Pemi's Things:
1. Having overwhelming feelings for this stupidly gorgeous apartment makeover. The details. Look at those details. #Goals, guys. #Goals.
2. Falling deeper for the Instagram pages of gboxcreative, immaculata.na & lidudumalingani. Being reminded of the wordless power of good photography, reveling in the gamut of feelings they evoke.
3. Gushing over coz designs leather bags. Someone get me this green one for Valentine's, maybe? (Listen, Universe!)
4. You've probably seen one of these Catana Comics around. I love the simple cheesiness of them; they make me feel warm inna di inside.
5. This strong piece, To Speak is to Blunder, by Yiyun Li about choosing one language over another. "I dread the moment when a thought trails off and a feeling starts, when one faces the eternal challenge of eluding the void for which one does not have words."

> And an extra: Xavier Omar's Speculate that I listened to, on repeat, for a whole day when I discovered it.
