Pastor Jonathan Starts Tomorrow!:
Tomorrow is an exciting day in the life of our church. Pastor Jonathan starts tomorrow! We are planning on praying for him during our gathering and have planned a luncheon after the morning worship. Please plan to stay and enjoy time together as a church family as we celebrate.

Sunday Scoops Giveaway: Sept. 15
On Sunday, September 15 we will be hosting our annual Sunday scoops giveaway at Dunton Park (across from the church) from 2-4pm. We need lots of help getting the word out to our neighbors and community. We will have postcards available to hand out but nothing beats a personal conversation. In addition to getting the word out, we will need lots of help on the 15th setting up, dishing out ice cream and toppings, talking with our neighbors and of course eating ice cream. If you are able to help a sign-up sheet will be in the back of the sanctuary this Sunday for you to fill out.

Sunday Luncheon: Sept. 15
Our Sunday Scoops Giveaway event begins at 2 pm with set up happening before. Due to the quick turn around following our morning worship gathering we understand it would be hard for people to get home have lunch and come back. We will be providing a light lunch following our morning worship gathering. If you would like to bring a dish to share it would be welcomed and appreciated. Please speak with Pastor Joshua if you plan to bring something.

Parsonage Workday: Sept. 21
Saturday, September 21 from 9-noon we are planning a parsonage workday. There will be a variety of tasks to do from cleaning to painting, yard work and tearing out carpets. If you're able to come even for a little bit it would be a huge help. If you are unable to make the workday but still want to help out please speak with Steve Szafir to arrange a time to help.

Parsonage Matching Gift: Goal Reached!
Thank you to everyone who gave over the last few months to the parsonage fund. Because of your generosity, we were able to reach the $10,000 mark which was matched by another $10,000 from the generous friends of Faith Church. Thank you to everyone being willing to be used by God to meet a need.

September Third Sunday Mission Offering:
September 15 we will be collecting for our third Sunday Mission Offering which will be for John Jones trip to Liberia. As you can imagine there is significant cost involved but beyond the direct cost of travel, there is a desire to bring audio Bibles to the people in their own language. John is looking to raise $500 for the audio bible and any amount collected above $500 would go to offset the costs of travel and lodging.

Operation Christmas Child Collection:
Hard to believe we are already this close to OCC. We are collecting school supplies, boys and girls toys, hygiene items, yo yos, balls and anything else you think a child might like to get at Christmas time. You can leave your items in the back of the sanctuary. We want to be able to pack 200 boxes this year which means we are going to need a lot. If you would like some more suggetions please click here or speak with Carolyn Smith.

John Jones Needs Our Support:
John Jones is a little over a month away from his missions trip to Liberia in October. Would you consider praying for him as he prepares for this trip? Click here for a PDF of prayer needs for the team.

 Prayer Opportunities:
Please consider joining us as we gather together in prayer for the life of our church. These times begin by a brief devotional from the Word, followed by a time of focused prayer. These gatherings happen every Sunday morning at 9:30am (with prayer primarily focused on the worship service). It is a great joy to gather as God's people and unite our hearts in prayer - join us!
Here a few things to keep in mind this week.
- Pray for our new Pastor Jonathan Price and his family. Pray the Lord would strengthen him as he begins this overwhelming task.
- Pray for Carolyn Smith and her ongoing health needs.
- Pray for Melanie Duncan and her continuing pain from having a cesarian.
- Pray for John Jones and his trip to Liberia in late October to teach other pastors.
- The Lost-All around us there are those who don't know Christ as Lord and Saviour. Please pray we can have an impact on these people and that the Lord would use us to reach them.

Moms Together
Our Moms Together ministry continues with a monthly daytime playdate for moms and their children that will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the church. This is open to any moms who can make it, so feel free to invite a friend! There is also a Facebook group where more details are announced about each gathering. If you have any questions, or to find out the details of the next playdate, please speak to Jenn Szafir.

Men's Gathering
The men of Faith Church gather each month on the 1st Wednesday of the Month for an opportunity to be in conversation, in the Word, and in prayer. All men are invited to join us on the first Wednesday of the month as we ground ourselves in the Word and commit ourselves to growing in godliness. On October 02 we'll pick up in 2 Samuel 22. in our look at the life of David.
