The Muir Messenger | March 13, 2018

Hello Muir families,

Tomorrow (Wednesday, March 14) Muir will be joining with schools nationwide to advocate for safe schools. At 10am, our students will imagine, through writing or drawing, what a safe community looks and feels like; they will also listen to a "peace playlist" over the PA for inspiration.

Families are welcome to join children in their classrooms from 10-10:17am, in honor of the lives lost a month ago at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. Please arrive a little before 10am and check-in at the office. If you and your child would like to wear orange in support of common sense gun control, you are welcome to do so. Please contact your child's teacher with any questions.

If you're interested in being involved with future events, particularly another school safety activity on April 20, please send an email to:

Thanks and take care,

Kathleen Spencer, President,
Traci Janikowski & Scott Wildman, Co-Vice Presidents,
Lennie Marcott, Secretary,
Andrea Southgate, Treasurer,
