December shines!

Buddings programs follow the seasons as nature intended, so sliding into December means sledding into a new slate of early childhood programming, winter weather walking, and ruminations on an all-inclusive future where the joys of childhood are front and centre!

That sounds really nice...

Welcome to our Brave New World (of play)!

This Friday, we're also hosting the first of our Welcome Back Webinars, for families interested in attending at Buddings Broadway in January. And it's filled up already!

You can still join us on Dec. 10, 15, or 21, for a run-down of what to bring to daycare, how to stay safe this season, and meet the incoming teachers. Click here to sign up.

In COVID consideration, we are re-opening our original Broadway headquarters on Jan. 11, with up to 10 spots per hour, from 9am - 5pm. Depending on schedules, this accommodates approximately 50 families, and we are about halfway there already!

Our Welcome Webinars are a quick and easy way to get oriented so you can start back on day 1. There's no obligation, and no cost to attend.

If you're thinking about flexible occasional childcare in 2020, join us this month to learn all about it. Visit Buddings.ca/apply to sign up.

What do you do?

This season, the kids in our Brave New World (of play) program will be learning that how we spend our days can define who we are in life.

The teachers have goals for the kids to grow into, for kindness, independence, and bravery, so our practice nurtures those budding strengths. When they grow up, whatever they become, we know it will be based on the lessons learned in early life.

Since Buddings families are distinctly unconventional, we wonder what you do. Do you work from home? What's your occupation? And when does flexible care come into play? Please, share your story!

Helping children, and policy makers, better understand the needs and occupations of families who use flexible care makes for better representation in practice and play! The future is out there, but we're making the rules right now.
