Community Workshops
The Shire of Dumbleyung hosted 3 community workshops on Thursday 26th May 2022 to seek innovative ideas and inputs around how to transform Dumbleyung & Kukerin into must see tourism destinations.

A survey will also be distributed to allow other comments to be provided, particularly for those people that were unable to attend any of the workshops. All feedback will be considered in the preparation of a Townscape Masterplan/s that will shortlist and identify the key elements that have the best destination delivery potential
Community Builders Program

The Shire of Dumbleyung has been selected as one of a handful of Southern Wheatbelt local governments to participate in a Community Builders Program. This is a Rural Aid sponsored program that aims to support up to 6 local people to develop their leadership skills and capacity around growing their communities. The Shire is seeking Expressions of Interest from 3 Dumbleyung and 3 Kukerin community nominees who might be interested in participating in this valuable program. The program is expected to commence on 22nd June 2022 and run for approximately 1 day per week through to mid October 2022.

Sport and Recreation COVID-19 Cleaning Subsidy

The Sport and Recreation COVID-19 Cleaning Subsidy supported by Lotterywest (COVID-19 Cleaning Subsidy) is designed to help eligible community sport and active recreation organisations, their volunteers and members manage and comply with COVID-19 related venue/equipment cleaning and personal hygiene costs.

Roadworks Update
Work Commenced: 16/05/2022: Kulin Dumbleyung Rd reconstruction underway. Traffic controllers with a “follow me” escort vehicle will be on site. Please follow their instructions and proceed with caution.
In Progress: Edwards Rd gravel re-sheeting.
 
Please be mindful of travelling on roads both sealed and unsealed during wet weather to drive to the conditions and be aware for Shire personnel on or near roads responding to maintenance issues such as fallen trees.
Regional Drought Resilience Plan
The Shire of Dumbleyung is working collaboratively with four other Southern Wheatbelt LGA’s and key State Government lead agencies (WDC & DPIRD) to establish a pilot Regional Drought Resilience Plan. This Plan is to be completed and submitted with the Federal Government by 30th June 2022.
Your input is sought to support the preparation of the Plan. Further information on what this drought planning is all about and ways to provide input is in the link below.

2022/23 RATES NOTICES
The Shire of Dumbleyung are working towards being able to send out your 2022/23 rate notices via email.  With this in mind we are asking for you to provide the following information to ensure the process is as seamless as possible.  Can you please send an email to our rates officer:  mdavidson@dumbleyung.wa.gov.au with all the assessment numbers that you would like changed and the email address that you would like them to be sent to. Can you please also ensure that you put in the subject section of your email “Emailing of rate notices” to make it easy to identify the emails. 

You can either complete the flyer and send back with the replied paid section or email the information as detailed above. 
DoT Direct
Manage all your licences and registrations online through our secure and convenient portal, DoTDirect. Set up is easy and the following transactions can be processed using DoTDirect:
