Some of Charles' previous roles include The Tin Man in South Carolina Children Theatre's The Wizard of Oz and the title role in Dr. Dolittle at SCCT. He has enjoyed performing in the area at Greenville Little Theatre, Centre Stage, and Warehouse Theatre. In addition to The Fantasticks, he is currently in rehearsal with his daughter in the Mustang Theatre Company's production of Mulan, and will be on stage again soon with SCCT in The Miracle Worker. Charles teaches Spanish at Palmetto High School and serves in the SC National Guard. His favorite part of the theater is performing with family members and friends. He wishes all the best and "break a leg" to the Market Theatre, and he hopes to be cast in future productions!
Rob Gentry (Hucklebee) is making his first venture into musical theater, having had his first stage experience in last year’s Shakespeare in the Park, as Egeus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Many in the Arts community may recognize Rob as our local Claysmith. He and Annette Buchanan will be hosting an arts festival in 2017 featuring the community firing of the anagama. “This has been an exciting challenge for me, having my first musical role and being in the first production of the Market Theatre. I am sure that Carlie, Noah, Meghan and Dalton will be very successful in this new venture!”
